I'm starting to get the feeling there's a lot I don't know about the time I spent here. Starting with ever having been here, to begin with.

I think that's pretty common, people showing up without memories from their time here before.
No idea why they do that or how it works, though.

A do-gooder. [He had his charitable acts at home, his charity cases too, but he'd hardly consider himself a do-gooder. What exactly was he involved with here and with who? The absolute lack of recall has him thrown.

The bit about the contract though, that rings true, and Magnus nods his head. It sounds like something he would do. His eyes are on everything, from the trimmings to the pieces in his place distinctly unlike him.] As a child? What a gift that would have been. [To have a friend, or even so much as a kind word at such an innocent age. There was a reason he didn't dwell long on matters of his youth, after all.]

Magnus was picked up by the Silent Brothers, I had a good working relationship with them at the time, so they contacted me, they had no idea of what to do with a warlock child.

[ Where by 'good working relationship' he means they played cards every so often. But it'd paid off, he's always tried to keep matters civil with the Nephilim, and the Silent Brothers have always been somewhat divorced from their drama. Ragnor keeps a good relationship with many of them even now. ]

I told you to get "sparkly clean" and of course you took it to heart. I learned about cosmetic glitter from you, I'm half-convinced you invented it.

[ It is hard to divorce this Magnus from the ones he's met previously. It would probably be easier if there were more than one around at any given time. ]

I guess that makes some sense. For an alternate dimension.

[Is the alternate version of himself better, somehow? More powerful. Probably a lot more well-rounded, given the nature of his upbringing. A crescent moon-shaped smile finds its way to his face.]

At least my sense of style wasn't compromised. Maybe I did, you know what they say about loose lips and ships.

[ It's a long story, not always pleasant. Ragnor would rather skip the story altogether, but there are still several people who will recognize him and it's probably better if he's braced for it. ]

[As if anyone could out run him could out-dress him. He has a few favorite things and one of them just so happens to be putting together a good outfit.

While the next question doesn't catch him off guard, he does brace himself, by occupying the closest seat that isn't spoken for or garnished with some odd tidbit of Ragnor's life now within Duplicity. It's not really his place to judge.]

You were universally well-liked, which I'm sure isn't surprising. You were dating a number of people, I didn't meet all of them, but I did meet Hope, who is a very sweet young woman when she has emotions. Vampires from her world can shut them off, apparently.
